Sync your Airbnb calendar with your NZZL calendar

Calendar syncing between NZZL and Airbnb uses the industry-standard iCal (.ics) format — the same method Airbnb uses for exporting and importing calendars.

• When you export your Airbnb calendar, Airbnb gives you a URL that you paste into NZZL. This sends your Airbnb availability data to NZZL.
• When you import your Airbnb calendar into NZZL, changes on Airbnb will automatically reflect in your NZZL calendar, depending on how frequently Airbnb refreshes updates (approximately every 3 hours).

NZZL can also import bookings and blocked dates from Airbnb — as long as the link provided ends with .ics, which is required for compatibility.

Follow these steps to sync your Airbnb calendar on desktop or mobile browser.

1. Export your Airbnb calendar

• Go to Airbnb → Calendar for the listing you want to sync.
• Open Availability.
• Under Connect calendars, select the option to export your Airbnb calendar.
• Copy the Airbnb iCal URL provided. (Ensure it ends in .ics.)

2. Import your Airbnb calendar into NZZL

1. In your NZZL host dashboard, go to Calendar Sync.
2. Choose Add calendar.
3. Paste the Airbnb iCal link you copied.
4. Give the imported calendar a name such as “Airbnb Calendar”.
5. Save your changes.

Once your Airbnb calendar is synced with NZZL:

• Any night booked on Airbnb will automatically be blocked on NZZL.
• Nights you block in Airbnb due to rules like preparation time, advance notice, or minimum stay will also appear blocked in NZZL.
• Bookings made on NZZL will also block corresponding dates on Airbnb when both directions are connected.

NZZL displays changes based on Airbnb’s refresh cycle.

If you need to see new bookings sooner:

• Use the Refresh button beside your imported Airbnb calendar inside NZZL.

Keep in mind:

• Airbnb limits how many manual refresh requests can be processed, so you may occasionally need to wait until Airbnb’s next automatic update.
• Airbnb only provides limited availability through its export link.

If you need to stop syncing your Airbnb calendar with NZZL:

1. Open Calendar Sync in your NZZL dashboard.
2. Select the connected Airbnb calendar.
3. Choose Disconnect calendar.

You can reconnect later at any time by repeating the steps to import your calendar.
