Terms of Service

Pilot Version - Morocco

These Terms govern access to and use of the NZZL Platform and apply to Guests who browse, book, or otherwise use the service.

NZZL acts as an online marketplace intermediary. Accommodation is offered by independent Hosts, and each booking is subject to the responsibilities, rules, and legal requirements described below.

At a glance

NZZL operates as a digital intermediary that helps Guests discover and book accommodation offered by independent Hosts.

Each accommodation contract is made directly between the Guest and the Host, not with NZZL.

Guests must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, and may need to complete identity verification.

Bookings are confirmed only after payment authorization through the Platform, and Host cancellation policies apply.

Use of the Platform and any stay must comply with Moroccan law, Host rules, and the Terms below.

The Platform limits its liability to the maximum extent permitted by law, with a booking-related cap at the amount paid by the Guest through the Platform.

1. Introduction#

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the NZZL digital platform available at www.nzzl.com (the "Platform").

The Platform is operated by NZZL Morocco SARL, a company incorporated under the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco ("NZZL", "the Company", or "the Platform").

The Platform provides an online marketplace that facilitates the discovery and booking of short-term accommodation offered by independent property Hosts.

By accessing or using the Platform, users ("Guests") acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If a user does not agree to these Terms, they must not access or use the Platform.

2. Role of the Platform#

The Platform operates solely as a digital intermediary that connects Guests with independent Hosts offering accommodation.

NZZL does not:

  • own, lease, manage, or control the accommodation listed on the Platform
  • act as a travel agency or accommodation provider
  • guarantee the condition, safety, legality, or suitability of any property listed on the Platform

The contract for accommodation is entered into directly between the Guest and the Host.

NZZL's role is limited to facilitating:

  • the discovery of properties
  • booking transactions
  • payment processing
  • communication and dispute assistance during the pilot phase

3. Eligibility#

To access or use the Platform, Guests must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • provide accurate and complete information when using the Platform
  • use the Platform only for lawful purposes

The Platform reserves the right to refuse access or suspend user accounts where eligibility requirements are not met or where misuse of the Platform is suspected.

4. Account Registration and Identity Verification#

Certain services on the Platform may require Guests to create an account.

Guests agree to:

  • provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • maintain the confidentiality of account credentials
  • accept responsibility for all activities conducted through their account

To comply with applicable hospitality and security regulations in Morocco, Guests may be required to provide identity documentation, including but not limited to:

  • passport
  • national identity card
  • other identification required by applicable law or Host policies

Failure to provide required identification may result in booking cancellation or denial of access to the accommodation.

5. Booking Process#

All accommodation reservations must be made through the Platform.

Prior to confirming a reservation, Guests will be presented with:

  • property details and description
  • pricing information
  • applicable service fees
  • cancellation policy
  • house rules established by the Host

A booking becomes confirmed only after successful payment authorization through the Platform.

Hosts remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of listing information.

6. Payments#

Guests are required to pay the full booking amount at the time of reservation.

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment service providers approved by the Platform.

The Platform collects payment from Guests and temporarily holds the funds until the scheduled check-in.

Following check-in, payment is released to the Host in accordance with the Platform's payout procedures.

Service fees may apply and will be disclosed prior to confirmation of payment.

The Platform is not a financial institution and does not provide banking services.

7. Cancellations and Refunds#

Cancellation policies are determined by the Host and are displayed on each listing prior to booking.

By confirming a booking, Guests agree to the applicable cancellation policy.

Refunds will be processed in accordance with the stated cancellation terms.

In exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • safety concerns
  • fraudulent or misleading listings
  • material misrepresentation of a property

the Platform may intervene to determine an appropriate resolution, including issuing refunds where necessary.

8. Guest Conduct#

Guests agree to behave responsibly and respectfully during their stay.

Guests must:

  • comply with the Host's house rules
  • respect the property and its contents
  • respect neighbours and the surrounding community
  • comply with all applicable Moroccan laws and regulations

Guests must not use accommodation for:

  • unlawful activities
  • unauthorized events or gatherings
  • commercial purposes not approved by the Host

Guests remain responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.

9. Compliance with Applicable Laws#

Guests acknowledge that accommodation use is subject to applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Guests may be required to comply with:

  • identity registration requirements
  • public order regulations
  • tourism and hospitality regulations

Failure to comply with applicable laws may result in suspension of Platform access and, where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities.

10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution#

Guests may submit complaints through the Platform regarding issues relating to bookings or property conditions.

The Platform may facilitate communication between Guests and Hosts in order to assist in resolving disputes.

During the pilot phase, the Platform may assist in dispute resolution to support fair outcomes between Guests and Hosts.

Nothing in this clause limits the legal rights of Guests or Hosts to pursue remedies through the competent courts.

11. Suspension and Termination#

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate Guest accounts where users:

  • violate these Terms
  • engage in fraudulent activity
  • misuse the Platform
  • violate applicable laws or regulations

Suspended users may be prevented from accessing the Platform or making future bookings.

12. Limitation of Liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform shall not be liable for:

  • the condition, safety, or legality of properties listed on the Platform
  • the conduct of Hosts or Guests
  • damages arising from the use of accommodation booked through the Platform

The Platform's total liability arising from a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Guest for that booking through the Platform.

13. Indemnification#

Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless NZZL and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • misuse of the Platform
  • violation of these Terms
  • unlawful conduct during a stay

14. Force Majeure#

The Platform shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters
  • public health emergencies
  • government restrictions
  • civil disturbances

15. Pilot Program#

The Platform currently operates under a pilot program.

During this phase:

  • certain features may change
  • policies may evolve
  • operational procedures may be updated

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of such updates.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction#

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Morocco.
